According to a recent report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (www.bls.gov/OPUB) on average, women hold 11 jobs from age 18 to age 46. From 2008 to 2018 the women’s civilian labor force is projected to increase by 9.0 percent, or 6,462,000. The number of women aged 65 to 74 in the civilian labor force is projected to increase more than the number of women in any other age group—increasing by 89.8 percent, or 2,030,000. Women now make up close to 60% of the work force.
The majority of a woman’s daytime hours are spent outside of the home working. Navigating the many options of career opportunities can be overwhelming and isolating. Patty Kremen has a Masters Degree from Columbia University Teacher’s College in Organizational Psychology. She has created programs, facilitated workshops, worked as a campus recruiter and as a management team assessor.
Barbara Sunberg, an attorney, is the President/Owner of Prestige Careers a Recruiting and Career Coaching business. She has successfully negotiated offers, placed and coached employees in the legal, corporate, healthcare and media/communications fields.
